Porsche Centre, Newport

The Porsche Centre Newport is a state-of-the-art facility constructed by Beard Construction. Commissioned by Dick Lovett, the official Porsche dealer for South Wales, this dealership serves as the company's flagship Porsche centre and is the largest building in its portfolio to date.


Construction Details


  • Project Value: £16 million

  • Size: Approximately 7,000 m²

  • Design: Curved, glass-clad façade with porcelain flooring

Showroom & Workshop Features


  • New Car Showroom: Space for 48 Porsche vehicles, including models like the 911, 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, and Taycan

  • Used Car Showroom: Two-storey facility showcasing 40 pre-owned Porsche vehicles, offering the widest selection of pre-owned Porsche cars in Wales

  • Workshop: 23-bay workshop equipped with a service drop-off tunnel, MOT centre, and Smart Repair Centre

  • Car Lift: Installed to move cars efficiently to the first floor of the showroom

  • Sustainability Features: Solar panels on the composite roof and electric vehicle chargers for customers and as part of Porsche’s wider EV charging network


Interior Design


The interior design of the showroom was executed by Showcase Interiors, who worked closely with Dick Lovett and Porsche UK to ensure the space met Porsche’s latest Designation Porsche CI guidelines. Key elements include:


  • Reception Area: Striking reception desk with premium materials reflecting the luxury brand

  • Sales Offices: Custom-designed desks and storage units for efficient sales processes

  • Customer Lounge: Luxurious seating and tables for customer comfort

  • Merchandise Display: Bespoke units for showcasing Porsche accessories and merchandise

  • Interactive Zones: Modern interactive zones with digital displays and product information



Our involvement on this project included:

  • Setting up and establishing the site station control.

  • Setting out and carrying out plumb line and level surveys on the steel frame.

  • Setting out gridlines and datums throughout the project.

  • Carrying out slab level surveys.

  • Surveying and setting out for architectural steel. Staircases and balustrades.

  • Carrying out cut and fill analysis.
