Lansdowne Surveys Limited was engaged by CPM Civil Engineering to deliver all site surveying and setting out services for the construction of the 132kV substation at the World's End Solar Farm in Gloucestershire.
Key responsibilities included: establishment and maintenance of primary and secondary site control networks; high-precision setting out of transformer and plant foundations, equipment bases, structural elements, cable routes, trenches and ducting systems; verification of formation levels and foundation depths; continuous as-built surveys to validate completed works against design specifications; monitoring dimensional accuracy; and providing survey data and reports for quality assurance and project records.
Working closely with CPM Civil Engineering, Lansdowne's proactive coordination ensured all civil elements were delivered in the correct position and level, reducing rework risk and supporting seamless progression into the electrical installation phase.
