Lansdowne Surveys Limited was engaged by CPM Civil Engineering to deliver all site surveying and setting out services for the construction of the grid connection infrastructure at the North Dairy Solar Farm. The project required high-voltage infrastructure to facilitate the export of renewable energy to the electricity network, centred on a substation and associated civils works.
Key responsibilities included: establishment and maintenance of primary and secondary site control networks; high-precision setting out of transformer and plant foundations, equipment bases, cable routes, trenches and ducting systems; setting out of access roads; verification of formation levels and foundation depths; continuous as-built surveys; and monitoring and quality control to ensure compliance with engineering tolerances.
Lansdowne's proactive setting out ensured all elements were constructed in the correct position and level, supporting a smooth transition into the electrical installation phase.
