Gracechurch Shopping Centre, 3D Survey

The Gracechurch Shopping Centre in Sutton Coldfield is to have it's high tensile fabric canopy replaced. Lansdowne work for a number of such clients, one of which was tasked with repacing the canopy you can see in the picture above.

This is an example of a typical one day 3D Survey. The main seam lines of the canopy were surveyed from inside/beneath the canopy, however the connection brackets/cleats/hdbs were all located above the walkway canopy. As a result the Lansdowne Surveyor and full set of kit had to be placed next to each of these connections some 4-5m off the ground. The resulting model can be seen below.
