Full Description:
Lansdowne Surveys worked in collaboration with Taunton Fabrications on the installation of a striking oculus staircase at Cardiff University, delivered for Bouygues. At an early stage, Lansdowne carried out detailed surveys of the structural openings to verify dimensions and geometry aligned with the design intent prior to steel fabrication. During installation, the team provided precise setting out for bolt hole positions for balustrade first-fix brackets around the radius of the oculus, as well as height data for all baseplate positions.
